In the third quarter of 2024, several travel and local apps emerged as the leaders on the unified platform in Norway, according to data from Sensor Tower. This analysis provides a closer look at the performance trends of these top five apps, focusing on weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Flightradar24 Flight Tracker from Flightradar24 AB, based in Sweden, saw a varied performance throughout the quarter. Weekly revenue started strong at around $13K in early July but experienced a gradual decline to approximately $7K by early September, before rebounding to $13.2K in mid-September. Downloads followed a similar pattern, peaking at 3.5K mid-July and dropping to 1.6K in September, with a slight recovery towards the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 21.8K and fluctuating slightly, ending the quarter at 21.2K.

Fjelltoppjakten, a Norwegian app, showed a consistent decrease in revenue from $1.6K at the beginning of July to $0.9K by the end of September. Downloads also decreased from 1K in early July to around 700 by late September, with a small uptick to 935 in the final week.

Finally, park4night - Motorhome camper by AppMobilEdition experienced a decline in both revenue and downloads. Revenue began at $0.7K in July and decreased to $0.2K by the end of September. Downloads followed a similar trend, starting at 2.2K and dropping to just over 100 by the end of the quarter. Despite this, active users initially increased, peaking at 4.6K in early August, before declining to 1.9K by September.
